spring is in the oxygen (:

So I went on a walk with my puppy through the woods today and picked up a little piece of moss (and named him Ross). I took him home and gave him a nice home...

DIY jar terrarium
what you need:
Small pebbles
potting soil
jar
plant(s)

-First, find a nice jar and make it nice and cleanly-
-Then put about an inch of the small pebbles into the bottom of the jar-
-Fill the jar about halfway if you have rooted plants-
-then arrange the plants on top of the soil-
-Fill in the rest of the soil around the roots of the plant-
-make sure you water it:)-

*If you have moss, like I do, you don't need to do step 3, you can just fill it all the way. Also, I put a cute little kitten figurine that I got at an antique shoppe in mine, just to give it a little character.

*Water it whenever the soil is dry, however not every day because you don't want to drown the plant. If  you look at the bottom, and there is water among the rocks, you shouldn't have to water it.

have fun with your new pet plant. Be sure to name it so you get emotionally attached :)

Neewww pencills!

so today my advanced draw and paint teacher, Mr. Tiano, made my whole day! He comes out with these prismacolor colored pencil sets and says "These are for you to keep." and we're all like "FOR LIFE???????" and he said yes and all was well :)

My cat (liberal personification). I made this. It looks really simple because the scanner didn't really catch all of the values, and I'm just not that good with colored pencils.

DIY custom notebook :)

Hey all! This is one of my favorite diys, just because I have this weird obsession with bound paper. I did this after dark, and I don't have my good camera anymore (sad) so sorry if the pictures are a little blurry...

DIY custom notebook! YAY!

You will need:
-some random nature :)
-paintbrush
-any kind of paint in a few colors
-10 pieces of printer paper(or whatever you have around)
-one slightly larger piece of thicker poster/bristol paper
-stapler(not shown)

the first thing you'll do is fold all 10 pieces of printer paper in half hot dog style all together. (0.o my hand looks weirrrrrd)
then fold your poster paper in half, and nest the printer paper inside (matching them in the center)
Staple all the papers together on the crease with the pokey side of the staples on the inside.
put 2-3 staples along the crease of the paper

you gotta love random nature :)

paint said nature with a healthy coat of any color you want

use the nature as a stamp and layer layer, and layer some more .

Using the grass gives you a really rough, grunge look plus makes anyone look like a pro.

I put a couple of embellishments on there including one of my found branches and a white silhouette of a birdy I doodled. For me, that's what really made it. Remember your creative license...

YAY ALL DONE ^_^ here's a cute celebratory bunny:P
